Seb has been selected as one of one hundred 17-year-old's to participate in a groundbreaking new retreat designed to combat teenage unhappiness called HappyHead. This retreat is not what it seems, with daily activities planned to test your loyalty and obedience, and you change your room daily based on how well you're performing. To survive Seb has to pretend to be straight, which is not helped by his crush on the handsome Finn. Can Finn be trusted? Will Seb survive this retreat? What is HappyHead trying to achieve?
This is a tricky one to describe without giving anything away! What I can say is that is a YA dystopian thriller with a little bit of a love story, for fans of The Hunger Games and They Both Die at the End. You won't know what's going to happen, and even then it's the start of a series so hang on tight for the sequel! Ages 14+
