I’ve started to refer to Pomare as “ol’ reliable” because for me he’s become one of those authors where I don’t care what the book is about, I’ll read it. It could feature all my least favourite subjects combined and if his name was on the cover I’d still buy it. Great, now that we’ve established I’m not biased at all, here’s what I thought of Home Before Night:
In classic Pomare fashion, this is another fast-paced, page-turning, psychologically thrilling work of genius about a mum and her missing son. This will take you through Lou’s rollercoaster of emotions as she tries to find out if her son is just avoiding her or in real danger. The anxiety levels are high in this one and as per usual I finished it in one sitting. If you’re a fellow Pomare fan don’t skip Home Before Night.
