This is one of those books that will have you reconsidering what is truly precious in your short, precarious life. There’s a high chance you will laugh, and an equally high chance you will take a sharp intake of breath as you are confronted with the very real threats posed to our planet and to humanity in the near future. This is a book of opposing forces: light/dark, real/fantastical, wise/ridiculous, funny/brutal, futuristic/historical.
