I've never read Lisa Jewell before and since I love twisty crime novels I figured I'd give this one a whirl. I was not disappointed. The story follows two women who happen to be 'Birthday Twins'. One of them, Alix, is a famous podcaster and the other, Josie, is stuck in a very unhappy life. Josie asks Alix if she will interview her for the podcast, she promises a compelling story for her listeners. Intrigued, Alix accepts, never suspecting what happens next. This is a dark, emotionally charged, twisty story that I was gripped to from start to finish.
