NEW OBSESSION ALERT! This is a fantastic new children’s series that should have every parent going “finally, a series that isn’t fantasy or magical!”. I mean, it’s magical in the sense that it’s an extraordinary book but there is certainly no Abracadabra magic involved!

Basically, the kids at Crookhaven are taught how to be bad to be good with classes like Deception, Forgery and Criminastics! Think of them like mini-Robin-Hoods-in-training.

Move over Skandar, Gabriel is my new hero. We should all aspire to be like him: he has the biggest heart, he stands up for his friends (in some of the best scenes in the book), he's smart as heck and quickly becoming a master of thievery school. If you haven't started this series yet then lucky you, you now get to read the first two back to back. Book 3 is coming next year and I already cannot wait!
