FINALLY THE SECOND BOOK ARRIVES! And thank goodness it lives up to the hype from the first one. As usual with the second book in a trilogy this book is all about filling in the gaps and riling up the enemy for the ultimate conclusion but MAN is this action-packed. It has a little bit of everything. I got MAJOR Scorch Trials vibes and does anyone fancy a trip to the Lotus Flower Hotel and Casino from Percy Jackson? The end felt SO Hunger Games-y and it also had flashes of Ready Player One? The perfect blend of the best books. In saying that, this is a unique blend pulling all the best elements from my favourite books and although there are a lot of similarities this is something to be celebrated not passed off as a rip-off because I assure you it is worth reading every page.
