I will always recommend Pomare, I think he is a psychological thriller writing genius. Contrary to the rest of his books that are set in Australia/New Zealand, this one is set in small town America. This was a little bit upsetting as I feared he may be losing the local flare however he has explained it was because he wanted to insert a gun into the narrative and it is easier to do so when the book is set in America, otherwise you have to do further explaining about the presence of a gun in AU/NZ! Makes sense! The Wrong Woman follows private investigator, Reid, as he looks into a suspicious car crash which may or may not have something to do with the town's missing girls…

I don't want to be cliché and say it's a "fast-paced page turner" because I can't stand those buzzwords, but they're too accurate not to use in this case. Usually when I read I feel like I've read 50 pages and I look down and find I've only read 10... with The Wrong Woman it was the opposite and I was finished in a blink! There's no unnecessary fluff or slow filler bits, it's just go go go from start to finish.
