CONTROL - ALTER - DELETE
This was my favourite YA debut of 2020. Think 2001: A Space Odyssey meets Maze Runner. I could not put it down and I would read it again in a heartbeat. I struggle to find books that I latch onto as much as I did to the dystopian fiction of the early 2010’s (think Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Divergent). I just haven’t found any that are even worth comparing… but I promise you, The Loop ticks every box! A truly fantastic group of characters trying to navigate life when the life that they’ve know in prison - the Loop - is turned upside down. Luka is a very strong main character who would take a bullet for any of his friends. The action is non-stop and the enemy is terrifyingly smart. I was hooked from the beginning and DYING to keep reading the series. Luckily they’re all out now so you don’t have to wait like I did! Find my reviews for Book 2 and 3 below.
